I have been editing using premier since I was in high school. These videos showcase my technical and storytelling skills.
Going Down In The Digital Age: A project I made for a “radical forms” assignment I was given. I think I succeeded.
Heyya!: This edit showcases my style as an editor and what I enjoy editing. I really like making music videos and cutting party visuals to loud, punchy sounds.
Real: I love this song and I jumped when I got the opportunity to make an edit with it. This footage is from the short film beam I made but I decided to go in a new direction with it and use the clips in the opposite order of the shot list to create something new.
Kate Plays Christine: I got to use my creative brain with this edit. We were given the footage from a documentary and told to “make a story”. And this is exactly what I did. I really enjoy reality TV, and used this as a model for this edit.
Podcast Edit: This edit was a challenge for me, as the full video is 2+ hours long and we were asked to cut it down to less than 5 minutes.
Beep: This is a good representation of my narrative editing skills. I stuck to the script with this edit and followed the directors orders.
Remembering: Another representation of my fiction editing skills.
End of Year Video: (2019) This was one of the first edits I made by myself. I made this in high school with another student in my digital media class. This edit made me realize I wanted to study film in college.
